You’d think that this post might be about some guy in my neighborhood who lives with 100 dogs.  And you’d be right.  Kind of.

Because I almost adopted another dog.  A fourth dog.  What stopped me was the fact that the town I live in has an ordinance to keep people from “hoarding” animals, and only allows (3) of any type of animal to live in a residence.  That includes foster animals.

However, over the past weekend, I was involved in an annual picnic for the Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue. All of our current foster pups were there, as well as former fosters and other selected Danes.  I was put in charge of two dogs: Bronco, a 135-pound Albino and Deaf Dane that understands nearly 30 ASL commands, and a true sweetie; and Meesha, a fifteen-week old Lab/Dane mix.

Can you guess which one I fell in love with?

Apparently the camera loves her too, as did the photographer!  She was definitely the belle of the ball.  But I didn’t want to bring her into our home and then have to give her up because we were violating a city ordinance.  So I will have to love her from afar.

I hope someone adopts her soon!
